1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Empowerers (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information. Empowerers is an eBay and Etsy training institute operated by The Empowerers LLP, based at 248/B, Gulgasht, Multan, Punjab, Pakistan.

This policy applies to everyone who uses our services, including:

  • Visitors to our websites: empowerers.co, learn.empowerers.co (our Learning Management System) and enroll.empowerers.co (our enrollment portal)
  • Students of our online, Zoom-based programs: eBay Business Course (EBC), Etsy Training Program (ETP) and eBay Australia Boot Camp
  • Students and visitors at our physical incubators in Multan, Lahore, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Shahkot and Swat
  • Anyone who contacts us by phone, WhatsApp, email or social media, or attends our events and meetups

By using our websites or enrolling in any of our training services, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Refund & Return Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information we need to deliver our training services and support you as a student.

Information you give us

  • Contact and identity details: full name, email address, mobile/WhatsApp number, city and, where required for admission or certification, your CNIC number.
  • Enrollment details: the program or incubator you choose, batch, education or work background, and answers you provide in enrollment or inquiry forms.
  • Payment records: transaction reference, amount, date, payment method and bank transfer receipts. We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV or banking passwords (see Section 4).
  • Communications: messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, phone, social media or support channels.
  • Content you share: assignments, questions, reviews, testimonials, success stories and earnings screenshots you choose to submit.

Information collected during training

  • LMS activity: login times, courses accessed, lessons completed and progress, used to deliver the course and assess refund eligibility.
  • Live sessions: your name, and your voice or video if you turn them on, may appear in Zoom session recordings made available to your batch.
  • Incubator attendance: attendance records and, at some locations, CCTV footage kept for security.
  • Events and meetups: photographs and videos taken at our incubators, events and meetups.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring website and time spent on pages.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 4.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  1. Process your enrollment and give you access to Zoom sessions, the LMS, WhatsApp/community groups and incubator facilities.
  2. Process payments, issue receipts and handle refund requests under our Refund & Return Policy.
  3. Deliver training, track your progress and issue certificates.
  4. Provide student support and respond to your inquiries.
  5. Send you course updates, class schedules and important service notices.
  6. Send you information about new programs, events and offers, only where you have not opted out (see Section 6).
  7. Improve our courses, website and services using usage data and feedback.
  8. Keep our platforms secure and prevent fraud, account sharing and unauthorised copying of course content.
  9. Meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

Testimonials and success stories: we publish your name, photo, testimonial or earnings figures on our website or social media only with your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time, and we will remove the content from our website within a reasonable time.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

4. Payments, Cookies and Third-Party Services

Online payments

Online payments are processed by our payment gateway partner, Premier PayFast, which is licensed by the State Bank of Pakistan and uses PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. Your card, bank account or mobile wallet details are entered directly on the gateway’s secure page. Empowerers does not receive or store your full card number, CVV, PIN or OTP. We only receive confirmation of the transaction, such as the reference number, amount and status. Payments made by direct bank transfer are handled through our bank.

Cookies and tracking

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in to the LMS, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use our site and measure our advertising. These include:

  • Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics: to measure website traffic and usage.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel: to measure the results of our Facebook and Instagram advertising and show relevant ads.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the LMS may not work properly without essential cookies.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data. When you join a WhatsApp group, your phone number is visible to other group members. Links to third-party websites, including eBay, Etsy, Amazon, Payoneer and tools we recommend, are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

5. Sharing, Retention and Security

When we share your information

We share your personal information only:

  • With the service providers listed in Section 4, and only as needed for them to provide their service to us.
  • With our trainers and city incubator teams, so they can deliver your training and support.
  • With government authorities, courts or regulators when required by the laws of Pakistan, or to protect our rights, property or the safety of our students and staff.
  • With a successor organisation if Empowerers is merged, restructured or transferred, under the same protections described in this policy.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy:

  • Student and enrollment records: for as long as you are a student and for up to 5 years afterwards, to verify certificates and support alumni.
  • Payment and financial records: for the period required by tax and accounting laws of Pakistan.
  • Session recordings: for as long as the course content is offered to your batch.
  • Inquiry and marketing contacts: until you ask us to delete them or opt out.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, password-protected LMS accounts and access limited to staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your LMS password private. Sharing your login breaches our Terms of Service.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You may contact us at any time to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Request deletion of your information, except where we must keep it for legal, tax or refund purposes.
  • Withdraw consent for testimonials, photos or marketing messages.
  • Opt out of promotional messages by replying “STOP” on WhatsApp/SMS or using the unsubscribe link in our emails. You will still receive essential course and service messages while enrolled.

We will respond to your request within 15 working days.

7. Age Requirement

Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and above, as stated in our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, and any data protection law that applies to us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
